Favourite Autumn Lipsticks

As the days quickly grow darker here in the northern hemisphere, so does our hair, wardrobe and, of course, our make up. It is officially time to unload your wealth of sultry berry lipsticks onto your vanity so you can use them to your heart’s content!

When I think about autumn I think of pumpkins, cinnamon, apple pies and oddly enough, mulled wine. Naturally, I’m drawn to the shades of lipsticks that mimic that colour palette as I feel they go well with my dark hair and dark eyes.

Out of some sort of sick joke I decided to play on myself this past year, I seemed to have pick up a bit of an obsession with lipsticks. I purchased insanely more lipsticks than I normally would when we’re, you know, not wearing face masks 99% of the time. However, I did get a chance to try new brands and formulas that I have fallen in love with!

I’ve rounded up five of my favourite autumn lipsticks. It ranges from a somber nighttime liquid lip, to berry daytime babies and a little bit of in between.

1. Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick – Limbo

Rich deep chocolate brown. This colour would look incredible on deep skintones

2. Colourpop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick – Beeper

This is a perfect mocha nude. This is my everyday colour during these months as opposed to pinky nudes.

3. Colourpop Ulra Satin Liquid Lipstick – 951

This satin formula is less drying than a matte lip, however it isn’t smudge proof so be careful if you’re wearing this with a mask.

4. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick – Hot Toddy

I think I know why I think of mulled wine. Hot toddy is the autumn equivalent.

5. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick – Caramel Apple

Nothing screams autumn like a good ol’ burnt orange and this is a perfect one!

Now, of course, there are no rules in make up, so if one of these days you wake up feeling like you want to wear a bubble gum pink lip you should absolutely go for it! These are just some of my personal favourites when it comes to wearability, colour scheme and formula.

Do you have your selection of holy grail autumn colours?
